The Account Director is responsible for maintaining, strengthening and growing client relationships through comprehensive oversight and management of all accounts. He or she will be responsible for coordinating the efforts of all internal teams to effectively develop contracted deliverables and exceed client expectations. He or she will also oversee client relationships and be responsible for account growth, recommending staffing, client satisfaction and prioritization of client and project workflow, while ensuring that quality of all work meets MBS’ and client standards.In addition to overseeing, coaching and mentoring the Account Supervisor, Account Executive and Account Coordinator, the Account Director works closely with the Vice President. As such the Account Director needs to:*Foster an environment of teamwork and collaboration with all internal partners and stakeholders.*Act as a liaison with all internal departments to communicate client needs. Lead the development of proactive client solutions.*See the client''s business through a 360 degree lens. Proactively acquire knowledge of the clients overall business needs and objectives and demonstrate an ability to develop and apply out-of-the box strategic solutions and growth opportunities in accordance with these needs. Create and successfully execute against annual account plans for each client.*Act as the initial point of contact for the escalation of issues on both the client side and internally.*Demonstrate a strong understanding and knowledge of general database functionality, their client’s data, the update process, uncovering data anomalies, trouble shooting and researching issues, and recommending solutions. Maintain the highest standards of quality control. Coach and develop Account Supervisors towards growth in all these areas.*Partner with the Vice President to establish clear performance goals and objectives, set expectations for delivering results, and provide ongoing monitoring and feedback of the team’s progress.*Demonstrate a willingness to take on increasingly complex and challenging assignments with enthusiasm.*Identify and propose ways to close gaps in MBS’ knowledge/understanding of client business and marketplace dynamics. Stay ahead of and deliver broader client and industry perspectives to enhance the thinking and performance of the client/MBS team and integrate them into MBS’ protocol as necessary.*Work in conjunction with all department heads in developing and leading initiatives to improve processesWrite detailed proposals, strategic business reviews and white papers and take a leadership role in presentations and meetings.*Own responsibility for client profitability, monthly revenue flow and annual budget projections. Ensure MBS resources are effectively and profitably deployed in service of client. Manage all contract negotiations and renewals*Act as a member/extension of the client’s marketing team. Be willing to work on premise at a client’s offices if requested/required by the client.*Service NY based clients out of the NY office at least four times a month*Be willing and able to travel at least once a month to clients based outside the NY areaJob Function: Marketing / Sales
