Main Function To assist in the daily activities of the Flow Equity Derivatives Product Control team. This team is responsible for supporting the US Flow Volatility, Latin America, US Convertibles, and Special Situations desks. Products covered by the desks include listed and OTC options, convertible bonds, variance swaps, barrier options, futures and other related products across the index and single stock world. The role will involve taking over the Convertible Bond/Special Situation PL process from another infrastructure group and working to optimize the current method. Strong PC experience is a must. Main Duties The individual s core responsibilities include: Daily Interaction with Traders and other front office personnel on pnl and other issues Perform a daily PL reconciliation and provide appropriate commentary on PL drivers Oversight and management of Front Office to Back Office (FOBO) reconciliations and continuous strategic improvements to the process around the FOBO Undertaking regular reviews of monthly adjustments and highlighting significant control issues to senior management Work on Month-end close for Converts/Special Situations which includes reconciliation of General Ledger to P&L reported, a reconciliation and explanation of provision balances in the General Ledger, substantiation of Balance Sheet, and explanation of moves in the Balance Sheet Key involvement in Equities projects focusing on implementing and maintaining a strong control environment Ensuring adherence to the company / IFRS accounting policies and best practices Ad hoc projects / investigations /development of new tools Basic Qualifications Undergraduate degree in accounting, economic or finance 4+ years financial services experience with derivatives and price testing Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated understanding of balance sheet Numerate, able to work with spreadsheets and perform financial analysis; proficiency in MS Excel and VBA Demonstrated time management and organizational skills - ability to multi-task and work under pressure Self-motivated and self-directed, and able to solve problems with a minimal amount of guidance Required experience: 2 - 5 years Minimum required education: Bachelor's Degree Job category: Accounting, Insurance & Finance;Investment Banking & Advisory;Business & Strategic Management
