Execute sales, service and relationship strategies to support growth and retention of asset based lending customers within the assigned market or region. The individual will have a successful history of originating quality new business prospects from numerous referral sources - must be very well known and regarded in this industry with deep, strategic COI relationships. Develop new-to-bank business relationships and referral sources as well as cross-market services to exiting clients through segment-based sales plans to achieve revenue growth targets and maximize operating capabilities and profitability. This individual will screen numerous internal and external prospects (which will require a thorough knowledge of credit and asset based lending) and only refer strong, quality credits to senior credit managers for approvals. Lead / organize road shows to the CBG's regional offices to build relationships with the RM's and to present the ABL target market, RAC's, and new business process. Exceeding budget is a must.
-Directly originate new ABL transactions for a specific region
-Develop RM referral channel - as subject matter expert within a CCB region, the ABL BDO will train regional bankers on client acquisition, credit framework, develop strategies to x-sell existing clients and develop integrated marketing campaign within the region to promote the product
-Orchestrate productive marketing, sales and business development strategies and forums for new business generation. Continually monitor practices of competition and report findings to management when appropriate.
-Maintain frequent interaction with centers of influence, diverse industry segments, and senior business contacts
-Pre-screen deals and make sound recommendations for credit approvals
-Serve as a senior calling officer, persuasively interacting with client CEO's and business owners as appropriate.
-Manage new business pipeline, plans and budgets to meet the strategic objectives and ensure communication of such to appropriate internal management
-Ensure that marketplace activities are carried out in accordance with all legal and governmental regulations as well as internal policies and procedures. Demonstrate unquestionable levels of integrity
-Responsible for client satisfaction and relationship profitability, while providing business customers with single point of contact within Citi.
-Act as a consultant to Internal / External referral sources. Actively identify and participate in Trade Shows, Speaking Engagement, Networking Events, Study groups, Associations etc to further your own as well as the Healthcare Solutions Group reputation in the community
-Undergraduate business degree, MBA preferred
-Should have a minimum of 8-10 years of direct experience in originating ABL transactions
-Must have a sharp, proven business development focus, within a reputable institution in the ABL BDO/Sales
-Knowledge of credit process/credit training a must - Must be able to screen deals
-Must be team oriented
-Must have superior organizational skills
-Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills
-Demonstrated ability to motivate and influence others
-Must be able to express a sound opinion, able to agreeably present another viewpoint
