Accounts Receivable:

•Process all cash receipts including credit card transactions and prepare deposits for all departments. Create and provide a summary deposit spreadsheet for bank reconciliation. Handle inquiries related to cash receipts and research pledge payment discrepancies, allocate receipts to proper account coding and update revenue tracking spreadsheets.

•Review and research all incoming forms and online requests for matching gifts. Confirm and complete forms. Maintain copies of forms and documentation in house. Handle all internal and external inquiries related to matching gifts.

•Prepare specific month end and annual closing entries.

•Reconcile asset accounts to the general ledge on a monthly basis, research any variances and follow up with chapter staff on old receivables and NSF checks.

•Obtain donor documentation for temporarily restricted gifts, summarize in an electronic log and reconcile to the Statement of Activities monthly.

•Assist with the preparation of the annual Financial Management Checklist.

•Assist a representative from National with allocation and distribution of incoming mail and funds. Research questionable donations for proper allocation.

•Perform the responsibilities of the AP Bookkeeper during times of absence, including responding to vendor payment inquiries.

Risk Management:

•Maintain risk management software, performing updates and submission of insurance data.

•Submit requests for certificates of insurance and proof of insurance as needed for all departments.

•Maintain Disaster Recovery data as needed for Finance Director (chapter liaison)

Development:

•Manage key mass market registration, participation and pledge data for monthly management reporting.

Qualifications:

Associate's Degree with a basic knowledge of general accounting and banking; Combination of 6-8 years education and accounting experience (non-profit preferred); Basic analytical skills; Strong writing skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook, MS Word and Excel; ability to learn accounting software
