Working closely with a Financial Consultant:

During the entire term of the internship you'll have the opportunity to work closely with a financial consultant. By working closely we mean follow his routine, be present at meetings, preparing plans for clients and much more. This is the part that will help you determine if you wish to develop a financial consultant career. Towards the end of the internship program, if we find you qualified for the job, you'll get an interview with a manager in which you might be hired as a financial consultant/advisor. Your performance during the internship program will be taken into consideration.

About the Program:

The 12-24 week internship program provides you with the opportunity for exposure in the financial world. The program fits all levels of undergraduate students, however can fit graduate students who have no previous experience or wish to work as a financial advisor in the future. The program also includes various marketing and management aspects and is therefore good for all majors.

During the program you will have to work between 12 to 16 hours per week during the evening hours after 5pm and on Sundays. This is not a 9am-5pm position.

The program will develop your skills in Prospecting, Targeted List Building, Lead Generation, Schedule Management and the Essentials of Financial Advisement. In addition, the program includes weekly class sessions on different aspects in the financial world.

Qualification:
The ideal candidate will have an interest in building a career in finance, have a strong attention to detail and be devoted and motivated in order to make the internship experience something you'll learn from and even choose one day as your future career. The more you'll want to get from the program the more you'll get. The program is designed based on OJT (on the job training), which means most of the time you are on your own. Therefore, you'll need high self-discipline in order to accomplish the tasks you've been given.

By the end of the internship you'll get a letter of recommendation based on your performance. Good interns will have the opportunity to interview with AXA management for a full time position in the organization.
