Title: Financial Analyst (S) - US Transformation Location: North America-United States-New York-New York Job Number:_00002CUG Researches, analyzes and documents moderate to complex financial analysis projects for the US transformation. Prepares and analyzes operating and strategic plans, including quarterly forecasts. Impact on the Business Research and analyze financial data; prepare summary analyses as assigned. Assist in analysis and interpretation of financial statements and related reports. Prepare analysis and interpretation of financial statements and related reports. Design complex worksheets and/or databases for tracking and reporting Prepare reports, graphs and charts of data developed; prepare written presentations of financial analyses ensuring reasoning for conclusions are clearly illustrated. Recommend actions to be taken, as appropriate Prepare forecasts and analyze Company and/or business units trends. Participate in preparing long-term strategic plans for the Company, as appropriate Customers / Stakeholders Coordinate with other departments in preparing statistical studies, as appropriate Provide financial and technical expertise on projects requiring highly complex financial analysis. Work on cross-functional teams with other departments, as appropriate Leadership & Teamwork Assist in special investigations into finance-related issues and/or opportunities Review and guide work of less experienced personnel to verify accuracy of information used for financial analyses, using internal and external reports, other departments, and published data Operational Effectiveness & Control Collect and verify accuracy of information used for financial analyses through internal and external reports, other department personnel and published data Analyze financial and business results of the Company and its competitors to develop an information base for future managerial action Management of Risk Ensure compliance, operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC or regulatory standards and policies; and optimize relations with regulators by addressing any issues Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the HSBC brand Observation of Internal Controls Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators Full mastery of fully qualified position Minimum of seven years proven and progressive financial and/or business analysis experience, or equivalent. Previous financial services experience preferred Strong interpersonal, analytical, organizational, project management, problem-solving, presentation and verbal and written communication skills Job: Accounting & Finance.
