A prominent hedge fund needs a dedicated and bright team player to be a Tax Senio on their team. As the Tax Senior of this hedge fund, you will cover all tax areas within the firm, the partnership of the fund, and the management company returns.

Job Description

The Tax Senior's duties will include:

• Preparation and review of the federal and state partnership tax returns, and of the corporate management company tax returns

• Preparation of estimated monthly taxable income for limited partner investors

• Specific and detailed taxable income analysis such as Fin 48

• Preparation of specific information communicated to outside investors

• Quarterly calculation for any estimated tax payments required and the annual Schedule K1 process

• General support to the Tax Director/Manager for all tax related items surrounding side pocket / private placement / illiquid investments made

Required Skills

• 2.5 + years of hedge fund partnership tax experience

• Hedge Fund work experience from public industry (Big 4 firm or a mid-size firm), including experience with wash sales, straddles, constructive sales, and other hedge fund adjustments

• Dedicated and motivated

• Bright, with the ability and desire to learn new things easily
