Our consulting teams in this practice undertake litigation matters and client advisory projects related to quantitative financial and economic analyses across several industries and markets. Representative projects include analyzing damages, materiality, and causation in both securities fraud class actions and opt-out claims involving individual securities and funds; the impact of alleged accounting fraud on stock prices; class certification and market efficiency related issues in securities class actions; the effects of alleged insider trading on stock prices and tender offer premiums; damages and liability in derivative lawsuits; and valuation of financial assets.Your responsibilities may include designing and building quantitative models and applying econometric analysis to economic and financial data; reviewing, summarizing, and analyzing industry trends and competitor and academic research; creating trial exhibits and presentation materials; drafting memos and expert reports; managing large data sets and writing programs to implement complex analyses; and participating in client meetings and conference calls.
