General Summary-This individual is responsible for leading the inventory/product assortment strategy process for stores. Optimize deployment of inventory to maximize financial gains to better meet market demand
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Inventory Strategy responsibilities:
*
Supervise inventory strategy for stores under-going real estate activity, ensuring appropriate inventory level and product assortment to deliver financial returns
*
Evaluate fleet productivity and oversee execution of assortment changes,
*
Support Global brand initiatives and manage ad hoc cross regional projects through business case development, store analytics, performance measurement methodology, and inventory strategy recommendations
*
Analyze and measure results of assortment changes across the globe
*
Communication and present findings and recommendations to various levels of leaders throughout the organization.
*
Ensure timely communication of key timelines, deliverables, and expectations to direct reports, as well as functional and cross-functional team members
*
Manage corporate relationships
*
Partner with peers and key business partners to drive efficiencies & best practices on the team and identify opportunities to improve non-comp processes
*
Prepare and deliver presentations to provide guidance and career development to direct report(s)
* Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills with proven ability to transform findings into executable plans and sustainable solutions
*
Strong mathematical and statistical aptitude with an ability to synthesize large amounts of data
*
Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities with a willingness to learn and improve processes
*
Ability to deal with ambiguity, and ability to act without having all the answers
*
Ability to work independently and with teams interchangeably to deliver results
*
Ability to interact and present to all levels of the organization
*
Strong interpersonal and cross-functional team skills
*
Strong oral, written, and formal presentation skills
*
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with the ability to master new technical applications
*
4-year college degree required
*
5-6 years experience in a retail or supply chain management environment
*
People management experience a plus
