REGULATORY ACCOUNTANT - ASSET STAFFING (New York, NY)

Regulatory Accountant The ideal candidate would have 5 to 7 years? experience with FCM Accounting and Regulatory Reporting. A solid understanding of the Derivatives Industry and CFTC Regulations pertaining to FCM?s and Capital and experience in preparing daily segregation and secured statements as well as the net capital computation is critical for this position. Candidate should have a solid knowledge of Excel and knowledge of Access is a plus. Knowledge of PeopleSoft Accounting Systems, Multi Currency Accounting, and a familiarity of the GMI bookkeeping system is also a plus. This position would report to the Controller and would be responsible for preparing and reviewing daily reconciliations, preparing daily regulatory reports, as well as investigating and resolving differences with Operations staff to ensure accurate reporting. In addition the candidate would be responsible for preparing the daily net capital computation as well as assisting with the month end close.
