Senior Accountant

Summary:

The McIntyre Group is seeking a Senior Accountant – SEC Reporting to report to the SVP of Financial Reporting and be held responsible for financial reporting and consolidations within an established Manhattan-based organization.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare consolidated financial statements and SEC filings
• Prepare XBRL financial exhibits
• Compile and maintain supporting schedules for SEC filings and other external reporting
• Assist with press releases, earnings calls, and external presentations
• Review peer disclosures and make recommendations to enhance our disclosures
• Prepare monthly consolidations and intercompany reconciliations
• Prepare monthly internal reporting packages
• Perform variance analysis and metrics
• Prepare information requests and coordinate questions from the external auditor
• Assists with SOX 404 compliance activities

Requirements:

• Minimum of three years accounting and financial reporting experience
• Experience with public company external reporting
• Experience in public accounting
• Real estate knowledge
• Strong technical accounting skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Proficient in Yardi accounting systems and Microsoft Office, with strong skills in Excel
• BA/BS degree in accounting or finance
• CPA or CPA candidate
