Job Description:/h3:
Spain Agency is seeking a Technical Assistant to join our team This role is full time and can be placed in either the the Personal Lines or Commercial Lines departments. The Technical Assistant will work in tandem with the Account Manager in order to provide quality service to our clients in a timely manner in order to meet our retention goals. Strong growth opportunity within the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Process daily mail, including faxes and e:mail.
2. Answer and process all telephone requests.
3. Maintain account files in an orderly sequence according to established procedures.
4. Enter all required data into system to maintain current file data.
5. Review commercial applications, renewal requests and endorsements for adherence to underwriting authority and guidelines as established by the companys carriers.
6. Prepare and process binders of insurance, policies, endorsements, certificates of insurance, audits and cancellations as defined in the company procedures manual as directed by CSR.
7. Secure loss runs and experience modification worksheets on assigned accounts.
8. Maintain suspense or follow:up system for
correspondence/requests.
9. Process premium finance agreements as needed.
10. Assist client through preparation of Excel spreadsheets and premium breakdowns.
11. Provide back:up to other Commercial Assistants as needed.
12. Develop and maintain strong technical knowledge of commercial lines coverage and rating.
13. Scanning and other clerical duties, as assigned.
14. All other duties as assigned.

Skills:
1. Good technical knowledge of coverage in all commercial lines insurance coverage.
2. Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills.
3. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with others, to explain complex issues, to receive and interpret complex information, and to respond appropriately.
4. Ability to understand written and oral communication and to interpret abstract information.
5. Strong negotiation and problem solving skills.
6. Strong attention to detail and follow:through.
7. Organization and prioritization skills.
8. Ability to initiate and foster
client/carrier/fellow employee rapport.
9. Ability to utilize existing agency computer programs and understand functionality.
10. Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Required Education and Experience:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
2. Bachelors Degree, preferred.
3. At least two years experience in the insurance industry.
4. Current and Valid Property and Casualty Producer License, preferred.
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
