National Review Institute (NRI) is the sister nonprofit educational organization of National Review magazine. Founded by William F. Buckley Jr., and headquartered in New York City, NRI’s mission is to preserve and promote the legacy of William F. Buckley Jr. and engage in policy development, public education, and advocacy to advance the conservative principles he championed and complement the mission of National Review magazine. The Campus Outreach and Programs Officer will be responsible for managing the NRI On Campus program and facilitating all outreach efforts to college students. The Campus Outreach and Programs Officer will work closely with the Events Coordinator, the NRI fellows, and other members of the NRI staff

Primary Responsibilities Include:

-Develop lasting partnerships with student groups and other organizations in the freedom movement to plan events on college campuses
-Manage NRI On Campus social media platforms
-Growing the number of students who read National Review through NRI’s free college digital subscription initiative
-Drafting a biweekly NRI On Campus newsletter
-Attending conferences and meetings that present opportunities to reach new students (CPAC, SPN, ISFLC, etc.)
-Measuring results from all campus-related activities

The Campus Outreach and Programs Officer will work from NRI’s office in either New York City or Washington, DC and will be traveling frequently to on-campus events.

The Campus Outreach and Programs Officer should possess a bachelor’s degree (or higher) and ideally have some experience working in external affairs or programs management for a nonprofit organization or experience working with national student organizations while in college.
