The Dramatists Guild Foundation protects the future of the American theater by nurturing the writers who create it. For over fifty years DGF has helped countless playwrights, composers, lyricists, and bookwriters by providing necessary tools, resources, and aid. We are seeking skilled interns for a variety of positions this spring.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and use good judgment in making independent decisions with a high degree of tact and diplomacy

• Thorough attention to detail and research skills
• Demonstrated self-motivation with limited need for supervisor involvement
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
• Evening and weekend availability for special events as needed
• Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; ability to learn organization’s database, content management systems, and other software as needed
• Ability to coordinate a high volume of diverse assignments, effectively handle competing priorities, and maintaining quality of work
• Passion for DGF’s mission, goals, and programming
• Experience with Apple devices and Google Suite (Gmail, Google Drive, etc.) a plus

We offer a flexible start date, end date, and schedule to accommodate the right candidate. Interns working 20 hours/week or more will be provided a monthly unlimited Subway pass for the length of their internship. All interns will be required to sign a nondisclosure agreement.

· Proficiency with Indesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, sufficient enough to create original materials with direction
· Proficiency in social media platforms
· Ability to work from a style guide
· Photography skills (not required, but a plus)
· Familiarity with aspects of UX design (not required, but a plus)
· Familiarity with Constant Contact (not required, but a plus)
· Ability to create and maintain organizational systems

Development (Fundraising and Special Events)
• Special Events coordination and implementation
• Experience with high net worth constituents and donors
• Proficiency in database entry and tracking
• Donor Prospect Research
• Fundraising Administration
o Mailings
o Mail Merges
o Microsoft Office w/ focus in Excel

· Proficiency in professional communications; written, electronic, and verbal
· Experience drafting correspondence on behalf of Staff and leadership
· Conducting and synthesizing research
· Answering phones, day-to-day office administration as needed
· Writing copy
· Strong writing, research, and organizational skills are a must
· Ideal for recent graduates

Programs & Engagement
· Experience in educational programming, for youth and/or adults required
· Experience with application review systems and processing preferred
· Ability to coordinate programming and event logistics with great attention to detail
· Oversee Music Hall reservations during and/or outside business hours (contingent upon availability), customer service or house management experience a plus
· Proficiency with Google Sheets a must
· Available to applicants seeking hours during standard business day, as well as evenings and weekends
