We are currently looking for a bright, motivated and well-organized student to fill an intern position that we have available at our gallery.

The principal tasks at the gallery will be: Filling data bases, creating labels for the artworks, picking up phones, helping with the setting up of the pieces (wrapping, unwrapping), assisting the gallery’s director and assistant in anything they need, setting up appointments and updating calendars. Another primary task is doing research on several different subjects that gravitate around Latin American Art.

This is why candidates should poses strong written and verbal communication skills and knowledge of various Mac based applications such as Word, Excel, Adobe Photoshop, and File Maker Pro. Basic knowledge of digital photography is useful for updating the gallery inventory and web site. Interest in Latin American abstract, kinetic and Optic art is also recommended.

Interns must be willing to commit 3 - 4 days a week. This is an unpaid internship, however food and transportation allowance will be provided. The gallery internship is open to undergraduate or graduate students pursuing a degree in art and/or art history, or a related field. Interns may arrange to receive academic credit.
