Small litigation boutique firm in Nassau County looking for a litigation legal secretary with substantial skill using dictation equipment, preparing appellate briefs and motions, etc. We are looking for someone committed to a long term relationship with our firm.

1. Effectively communicate with clients, colleagues,
associates and partners
2. Provide administrative support to our lawyers
3. Answer phone calls, take notes/messages and
redirect calls when appropriate
4. Draft initial pleadings
5. E-file and serve pleadings, motions and briefs
6. Coordinate and facilitate personal service with
process server
7. Calendar deadlines
8. Close files (closing letter, pull apart the hard file, scan)

1. Proven experience as a litigation legal secretary,
handling heavy appellate work
2. Knowledge of legal terminology, regulations and
court system
3. Extensive knowledge of MS Office and ability to
work with legal technology (court-filing computer systems)
4. Strong ability to multitask
5. Strong organizational skills

Competitive salary depending on experience.
