We are looking for a dynamic, highly organized, accurate, detail-oriented self-starter with a strong work ethic to provide administrative and editorial assistance to our CEO. The ability to be one step ahead of the CEO and think outside the box is a BIG plus. We need a confident person who can truly multi-task in a fast-paced environment and who can work with demanding and eccentric personalities.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

•Coordinates CEO’s schedule which includes coordinating meetings and conference calls;

•Coordinates travel arrangements;

•Prioritizes emails and phone calls;

•Updates and organizes submission lists;

•Prepares proposals for submission to publishers;

•Tracks all incoming submissions, solicited and unsolicited;

•Facilitates contract signing and tracks advances due;

•Reads manuscripts and prepares readers reports;

•Answers phones as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree and 1-2 years administrative/office support experience in publishing or a related field.

•Excellent organizational skills

•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

•Interest in commercial nonfiction a plus
