These individuals are responsible for managing and coordinating personnel, budget, administration and operational activities involved in all phases of assigned school construction projects, from their initial conception through completion and opening of the facility.RESPONSIBILITIES:* Provide the administration and coordination of activities for the design and construction of both smaller rehabilitative and more complex and / or high visibility construction and modernization projects under the guidance of a senior-level Project Officer.* Ensure the quality and high standards of performance and compliance in both design and construction by all consultants and vendors.* Makes decisions and takes action in a timely manner to expedite the timely completion for the construction process.* Corrects mistakes and errors in design and construction before they can be extensively incorporated into the project or as early in the construction process as possible.* Responsibilities are varied and include coordinative, problem solving, and managerial functions for these projects.REQUIREMENTS:* Four year college degree; construction management, mechanical, electrical engineering degree preferred.* MEP experience required.* Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrated project management skills, effective negotiation skills, analytical and decision-making abilities.* Must be proficient in PC applications including Microsoft Office.* Minimum 10 years professional new construction project related experience in either, higher education, elementary, middle or high schools.Hill International is an Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/D/V“We are an E-Verify employer:http://w.hillintl.com/employment/everify/index.html
