Encounter is seeking a Recruitment and Program Coordinator in our New York office. This is an exciting opportunity for an early career professional interested in American Jewish communal leadership and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The Recruitment and Program Coordinator will directly support Encounter’s rapidly growing network of Jewish leaders reshaping our community’s engagement with the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, motivated self-starter who excels in a fast-paced environment. S/he possesses an exceptional work ethic, striving for excellence in all tasks big and small.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Track and store recruitment data, with particular focus on Intensive Leadership Seminar participant recruitment; Ensure recruitment and follow-up moves management system is up to date, inputting and tracking all relevant information on prospects and participants in database and Excel sheets;
Support program development through research on new potential program recruits (i.e. current top rabbis, etc.)
Support the Deputy Director’s and senior leadership’s preparation for recruitment and follow-up meetings, including taking notes when needed, and ensuring appropriate and timely follow-up;
Ensure all recruitment and follow up materials including email templates, accompanying documents, FAQ etc. are up-to-date, organized, and easily accessible in Encounter’s cloud storage system;
Support all efforts for pre- and post- program administration, including oversight of online intake and registration forms ensuring all necessary materials have been submitted, make edits in online forms as needed and track all flight information and reimbursements;
Support all ongoing education programs engaging the Encounter community, including webinars, small and large-scale events: This includes managing event logistics, formatting mass emails, tracking RSVPs, administering tech support on webinars;
Generate recruitment and follow up reports as necessary;
Support program evaluation processes including formatting of pre- and post-program surveys, data collection, analysis and presentation;
Support the Deputy Director’s calendar, scheduling and confirming appointments and coordinating travel arrangements as needed;
Other responsibilities as determined by supervisor.

Competencies and Qualifications:

Meticulous attention to detail and demonstrated track record of follow-through;
A ‘can-do’ mindset, focused on positive orientation to problem solving;
Disciplined time management and ability to prioritize;
Excellent interpersonal skills, especially a capacity to be self-reflective and take responsibility for and ownership of mistakes;
Willingness to perform a wide variety of functions;
Self-starter able to work both independently and in a team environment;
Strong data and database management skills, ability to create and run reports, manage and interpret data (proficiency with Excel required, knowledge of Salesforce, a plus);
Strong understanding of the American Jewish communal landscape;
Ability to work some evenings and occasional weekends;
1-3 years relevant work experience a plus;
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
