Description

Collectrium is seeking registrars and collection managers to consult on data migration projects. You'll work with new Collectrium clients to review their current collection management system and practices, then plan and execute their transition onto Collectrium. We will provide you with extensive training on the Collectrium platform and existing data import processes, as well as support staff to help with data entry and digitization.
Responsibilities:

Inventory record management. Ensure cataloging data is accurately entered into the database and that transfers from other databases are imported correctly.
Best practices consulting. Advise clients of best practices in collection management and help them organize, digitize and manage their records.
Accurately enter all data pertaining to each item in the collection including:- Purchases & sales- Consignment agreements- Loans- Location changes- Condition reports- Insurance details- Certificates of Authenticity and other documentation
Requirements:

A minimum of 3 years of previous experience working at a private collection, art gallery or museum as a registrar, private curator or collection manager
Proficiency in popular collection management databases, Filemaker, Excel and Art Databases
Discretion and confidentiality when dealing with client data
