I have a very exciting opportunity available for a mid to top tier development person as a Senior Development Officer at a Multi Campus University in NYC. The position is in NYC. Our client is a system of non-profit institutions of higher and professional education, established primarily to enrich the heritage, and to serve the larger American community. Over 18,000 students are currently enrolled in its various schools and divisions. Under the supervision of the Vice President for Institutional Advancement, the Senior Development Officer identifies funding needs and solicits major gifts from individuals, corporations and foundations Education and Computer Skills: Bachelor’s Degree, Masters preferred Five to seven years successful experience in major or planned gift fundraising; experience in higher education a plus Must be a highly energetic professional with a track record of building donor relationships and closing gifts in the high five and six-figure range. Proficiency in Raisers Edge, Microsoft Office including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Internet Research
