Marguerite Stuber Pearson's (1898-1978) 1940s framed canvas art print The Song

This American Impressionist painter's works were very popular in the thirties and forties particularly her interior scenes which were published as art prints by several art publishing houses

This art print depicts a beautiful woman sitting in a chair by her piano both in front of a fireplace with a songbook in her hands

It is printed on a heavy, textured, canvas and set in the original dark wood scallop bordered frame

The entire piece measures approx 28.5 inches high 32.5 inches wide and 1.25 inches deep

On the back of the print is a glued label from the prestigious New York City Art Publishing House Edward Gross Company Inc publisher of this Limited Edition canvas print

Neatly written on the label in pre-ball point pen era ink is The Song by Pearson

It is believed this print was published circa 1947

This canvas print is in excellent condition looking new and recently published

The entire print is clean

The brown crate paper backing is crumbling and is missing in some spots

The frame is sturdy with some very minor surface wear around the edges which can be invisibly retouched if desired
