Assistant Managing Editor, Country Living Tracking Code 1687 Job Description Country Living magazine is seeking an assistant managing editor to supervise and track the workflow of all stages of issue production and color correction. The AME will develop and monitor all daily and weekly internal schedules and enforce deadlines to ensure a smooth, on-time production cycle each month; work closely with the ME and Publishing side on book makeup; preflight and ship pages and covers; work with the in-house pre-press department to ship files to the printer; troubleshoot computer problems and monitor maintenance of printers. The ideal candidate has experience tracking both art and copy progress for a magazine and the ability to traffic art for color correction. Required skills: Candidate must have at least 5 years of consumer magazine production experience. Previous production experience; proficiency in InDesign and knowledge of Photoshop; proficiency in Woodwing, experience with enhanced publishing techniques a plus; excellent communication skills; sharp organizational skills; andan attention to detail.
