Play a key role in our future success: Job Description: AUDIO/VISUAL TECHNICIAN To support the Audio Visual Manager in overseeing all of the Audio Visual services for the Conference Center. The Audio Visual Tech will ensure that all Audio Visual requirements requested by clients are met. The Audio Visual Tech will also provide any technical assistance to the customer as required. Responsibilities: Maintain positive customer relationships and ensure timely response to all inquiries regarding Audio Visual needs Responsible for reviewing customer requests from the BEOs and providing equipment/assistance at the time and place necessary. Knowledge of the property management system to pull the AV reports and to input information into BEOs is required Handle all Audio Visual requests and designate a course of action for each request Review operation of equipment with customer and ensure that the customer is comfortable with its operation Provide technical assistance for all meetings and customers that require tech services for their events Offer assistance in operation of equipment and help solve problems if customer is unsure of requirements (i.e. recommending LCD projection instead of overhead) Educate the staff and customers on the basics of all AV equipment in the facility Responsible for assisting in the early morning opening of the facility, checking all sets and working with the conference planner to ensure all guests are greeted and are comfortable with the meeting room set-up and facility capabilities Responsible for working directly with the Conference Services Manager in creating set-up and Audio Visual guides detailing the specific meeting room changes. This daily responsibility is imperative to ensure the accuracy in facilitating all client requests Responsible for maintaining a checklist of meeting room standards and maintaining the accuracy of meeting room standards Act as a liaison between the AM and PM shifts and make sure the PM shift has the proper information to do the sets correctly Responsible for organizing and assisting with the set-up all conference rooms per the BEO requirements. Must test all equipment prior to the facilitator''s/trainer''s arrival. If we do not have the proper equipment to satisfy all of our customers needs on a particular day, be prepared early enough to make other arrangements so that we can satisfy all ofour customer''s needs Maintain the entire Audio Visual inventory on-site and submit quarterly reports to the Operations Manager on usage, breakage, etc. Responsible for keeping all the A/V storerooms organized and well managed Responsible for maintaining pars on all AV supplies and submitting requests for purchases to the Audio Visual Manager. These supplies include: flipchart paper, bulbs, batteries, videos and audiotapes etc. Assist the Conference Services Department with set-ups, break downs and any other areas where they may need assistance in an effort towards total guest satisfaction Create & maintain a library for videotapes, CD''s, cassettes and slides. Educate planners and staff on library contents Adhere to all FLIK International policies and procedures as set forth in the employee handbook Report to work as scheduled in uniform with name badge worn properly Qualifications: Bachelor''s degree preferred Ability to interact with customers in a professional and pleasant manner on a daily basis Ability to manage and mentor a diverse work force Extensive knowledge of Audio Visual Equipment and Routine Maintenance Advanced typing and knowledge of Microsoft Office, to include: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook Mail and Scheduling and Internet Explorer Excellent organizational and administrative skills with the ability to prioritize tasks. Ability to carry out responsibilities with little supervision, as well as juggle many tasks simultaneously Knowledge of all fax, message and mail procedures in order to service our potential, past and/or present guests Great People.
