New York. A teenage boy’s life is thrown into disarray when he is forced to leave his aunt’s home in a small Midwestern or Southern town and move in with a cousin he’s never met before in New York City. After not being picked up at the Port Authority bus station, an abandoned Paul is thrust into brutal city life battling means of survival and morality. Finding salvation in the form of his love for a beautiful woman of color from a vibrant dance community in the Bronx, NY, Paul is left alone to face the discomfort of navigating a romance as he grows into his own identity.

Casting Directors Damian Bao and Kate Antognini are currently casting for award-winning director Danielle Lessovitz’s first narrative feature film, “Port Authority.” Ms. Lessovitz was trained in documentary filmmaking at Northwestern before heading to New York to do a Master’s in Film at NYU. Her short films and video installations have won awards and shown at 40 film festivals worldwide. She currently is the Head of Film Lab and a film professor at Rutgers.

We are looking for a strong dancer for the leading role of Twiggy.

TWIGGY (age 16-22), Male, Black or Hispanic or mixed. - Twiggy is a queer teen who lives in the same shelter as Paul. He is a regal and strong ballet dancer with a preference for neon clothes and vogueing.
