This production will be presented as a part of Small Plays for Giants, a five-play series of interactive solo performances for intimate audiences.

We are looking for a performer to play an arthritic finger puppeteer. This is a solo, scripted one-act in which the character MARY tries to complete one final performance of her finger puppet show, The Jester and the Dragon. The play, and the play within the play require a significant amount of audience interaction. Seeking a strong physical performer, 50+. Experience working with or performing for children would be useful, although not a requirement. Confidence in improvisation also a plus. Above all else, you should be someone who loves collaboration and will feel comfortable bringing yourself to the text. Performers of all ethnicities and backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Rehearses through January with performances throughout February.

Stipend: $250

Auditions will be held by appointment the week of December 3-10. Please submit a head shot and resume to for consideration.

We will be asking performers to prepare two of the following:
- A monologue from a written work that tells a story (1-2 min.)
- A staged telling of a children's story (1-2 min.)
- A personal story (1-2 min.)
