What Is A Professional Supervised Visitation Monitor?

A trained, neutral thrid-person to supervise the contact between a visiting parent and their child(ren). Visitation Monitors ensure the safety and security of the child-parent interactions while documenting what is seen and heard during the visit.

This course is a comprohensive Professional Child Visitation Monitor Distance Learning training program designed to equip Professional Monitors with a better understanding of how to do their job, and to help them provide the best possible service to their clients.

WHAT IS REQUIRED FROM MONITORS TAKING THIS TRAINING:

Be at least 21 years old.

CPR/FA Certified

Have a Background Check, Livescan or be registred with Trustline (with proof)

Have no record of a conviction for driving under the influence (dui) within the last five years.

Not have been on probation or parole for the last 10 years.

Have no record of a conviction for child molestation, child abuse, or other crimes against a person.

Have proof of automobile insurance if transporting a child.

Have no civil, criminal, or juvenile restraining orders within the last 10 years.

Have no current or past court order in which the provider is the person being supervised.

Be able to speak the language of the paryy being supervised and of the child, or provider must provide a neutral interpreter over 18 years of age who is able to do so.

Agree to adhere to and enforce the court order regarding supervised visitation.

Do`s & Don`ts of the Industry

Child Abuse Reporting Laws (Penal Codes 11166, 11165.15)

Sexual Abuse, Substance Abuse and Mental Illness Impacts on Visitation

Cultural Sensitivity (Working with Various Backgrounds, Customs and Traditions)

Working with the Courts, Parents and Attorneys

Intake Interviews (Visitation and Client Screenings) and Gathering Documents

Safety and Security Procedures

Marketing (Business Operations and Planning for Long Term Success)


MONITORS WILL RECEIVE:
