Semi-Private Intensive Acting Training
An Evening Conservatory Training Program with Acclaimed Actor/Director Thurman E. Scott!
Ensemble Training For Beginning and Professional Actors!
This class is for individuals who are committed to their development as creative artists and are serious about studying the craft of acting.
This workshop provides a unique opportunity for individuals to work in a creative ensemble and develop the untapped, hidden, intuitive abilities that lie dormant, and then to focus this released talent directly to working on classical and modern contemporary dramatic text. This process allows professional actors to revisit the fundamentals in order to deepen and strengthen your craft and find a deeper level of freedom and creativity in a safe and supportive environment.
All students study directly with award-winning actor and director, Thurman E. Scott.
Classes are semi-private. Each student receives individualized attention that will allow them to move to the next level of their creative development. Class members benefit greatly from studying with students from various levels of development. Very often people new to acting will ask seemingly simple questions that an experienced actor would not dare to ask because they feel they should already know the answer, but it addresses the very issues they are struggling with.
All classes take place in our evening conservatory program at 145 West 28th Street in the Actors Theatre Workshop's intimate, professional theater facility. Classes are approximately 4 hours depending on the nature of the work of each session and conveniently meet 2 evenings per week starting at 7:30pm.
All enrollments must take place by Aug 11st, we highly recommend you submit your application as soon as possible.
