Application and Trading Floor Support Engineer

Brokerage client with low turnover located in downtown NYC has an outstanding direct hire opportunity for a self motivated individual in their trading support area. Provide application, desktop and network support for growing trading floor and exchanges. Support proprietary and third party trading apps and work as liaison between trading, infrastructure and software development teams. Must have experience working in the trading industry.
Responsibilities include:
- Support and troubleshoot proprietary and 3rd party apps.
- Building, configuring and upgrading workstations, laptops, and servers.
- Plan and implement user adds, moves and changes
- User configurations (user account, mobile devices, e-mail, VPN, fax, turrets, directory permissions)
- Identify areas for improvement and makes recommendations for process and technical improvements.
- Microsoft Office Support

Qualifications:
- Solid experience working in a Microsoft Windows Server and Windows 7/XP Desktop environment.
- Solid experience working in a Linbux rnvironment. Scripting or low level programming experience a +
- Experience with Active Directory user management required.
