The Company is seeking a Backend Eterngineer who can take a terabyte chunk of row data from here, a few pounds of non-relational data from over there, and push them out the door at the speed of light.



What you'll do:

• Build the fault tolerant, extremely high throughput services that fuel core features

• Evaluate, benchmark, deploy and monitor data stores and message busses to support a wide range of backend services

• Experiment with big data, big systems, and big challenges with an extraordinarily small and talented team

Required Skills

• Experience building backend services for large production systems

• Expert knowledge of at least two data stores of any flavor

• A deep understanding of distributed systems and their failure modes

• Smarts, humility, and equal willingness to learn and teach
