Job Description

As the Director of Technology, you will:

• Author, implement, and manage annual and multi-year technology plans

• Ensure all systems (PowerSchool, Inform, Salesforce, NetSuite, FinalSite, PayChex, etc.) are working and continuing to meet our needs

• Set up and oversee backup systems (Snow Leopard Server, Open Directory, Active Directory, Exchange 2010, Filemaker, Atempo, etc.)

• Analyze the needs of the network and schools, create technology plans to address those needs, and execute those plans

• Manage technical support to our schools, teachers, and network. Be the first in line to troubleshoot connectivity, laptop, smartboard, printer, and phone issues

• Procurement and external vendor management

• Administer IT purchasing and asset management

• Develop and manage annual IT budget

Required Skills

• Significant experience in the IT industry; several years managing tech support and managing data networks highly preferred

• Understanding of, and a passion for, technology and leading edge technology solutions

• Knowledge of standard networking equipment and design standards (voice and data)

• Knowledge of Snow Leopard Server, Exchange 2010, FileMaker, SalesForce, and PowerSchool

• Team-player, capable of working both collaboratively and independently
