Familiarity with automated testing tools, defect tracking and root cause analysis processes is preferred. The successful candidate will join a team of highly motivated test and QA experts who are responsible to provide test leadership and guidance for testing solutions in various industry areas, products and system platforms. The specific focus will be application functional test planning and consulting on the IBM Test Process Model and IBM Verification Test Process. The ideal candidate will: * Create test strategy and test plans - functional and verification. * Use standard test procedures and build reusable test artifacts and processes to continuously validate test requirements. * Develop and execute test scripts using manual or automated test tools either in test or production environments. * Work with clients to determine which types of testing best fit their needs, and plan, design, and execute on business solutions for both IBM internal and external customers. * Identify defects and work with Business and Technical teams to resolve and retest defects found. * Create and deliver test results, analysis, reporting, status, and defects. * Provide Test Process consultancy service for customers. * Possess excellent trouble shooting, analytical, and problem solving skills * Have excellent verbal and written communication skills * Effectively work under pressure and deadlines * Possess the ability to effectively multitask * Be responsible, conscientious, and have proven ability to work independently * Be innovative, creative and possess a passion for excellence * Have strong interpersonal skills and be able to work with people at all levels of the organization * Demonstrate expert understanding of, and proficiency in, effectively utilizing test case management, defect tracking, and requirements management tools Required * At least 2 years experience in software testing * At least 2 years experience in software development and/or QA experience cross platform, cross industry, complex systems * At least 2 years experience in SDLCs and SQA methodology * At least 1 year experience in teaching/mentoring others in functional testing and testing methodology * At least 2 years experience in understanding the relationship between requirements, use cases and test cases * At least 2 years experience in creating comprehensive test plans, test cases, resource plans, test schedules, and other QA work products * Readiness to travel 75% travel annually * English: Fluent Preferred * Bachelor''s Degree in Information Technology IBM is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
