Job Description:The Program Manager, EarlyLearn NYC is responsible for championing Brightside Academys commitment to the EarlyLearn program and ensuring compliance to the programs policies and regulations.Qualifications/Requirements:As a highly professional individual, you will be accountable for the overall implementation and monitoring of all programmatic, fiscal, policy, and regulatory aspects of EarlyLearn NYC for Brightside Academy. Reporting to the Regional Director, the Program Manager will provide oversight, management, and evaluation of support team content experts: Special Needs, Parent Involvement, Health Services, Nutrition, and Mental Health. The Program Manager will have a specialty in project management and will be extremely knowledgeable of ACS policies and regulations. Masters degree from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood, Education, Social Work, Human Services, or related field Three to five years of full-time, paid, professional experience in Early Childhood Education. A Project Management mindset with good follow-up skills. Strong & demonstrable communication (verbal & written) skills & experience. This position requires the normal physical demands associated with work in an office environment, including lifting, bending, and carrying The ability to travel independently throughout the region, and to other regions where Brightside Academies are located. The ability to schedule work outside of the typical week, including nights and some weekends. The ability to effectively read, write, and communicate the English language. Bilingualism is a plus. Duties and Responsibilities Provide educational and administrative leadership to all staff. Ensure all programs are fully enrolled and maintain regular attendance so that the community can fully benefit from the program. Thorough knowledge of early childhood development as it pertains to curriculum and school readiness goals. Must be able to work sensitively and effectively with individuals of diverse educational, socio-economic, and cultural background. Help implement the integrated education and early childhood development plan from community-based partners. Reviews and evaluates child development plans and activities to assure services provided are culturally, linguistically, and developmentally appropriate and inclusive of individual levels of ability, interests and developmental rates and children with special needs. Assist with development and maintenance of parent involvement to provide opportunities for greater understanding of child growth and development. Develop and implement a process of on-going monitoring to assure each enrolled child receives required developmental screenings. Develop and oversee the implementation of a training plan to assure all EarlyLearn staff acquire and enhance skills needed to implement education services goals, objectives, EarlyLearn Framework, Common Core Standards, and New York State Preschool Performance Standards. Provide teaching staff with support and opportunities for growth and improvement through individual conferences, team and academy meetings. Provide orientation and training for parents, interns and other volunteers who participate in classroom experiences. Provide training opportunities for classroom staff on a regular basis. Be informed of weekly classroom education plans. Facilitate child case conferences bi-weekly. Coordinate the schedules and evaluations of EarlyLearn staff. Facilitate the coordination of the education and disabilities programs with all others areas of the EarlyLearn program Provide opportunities for teachers to evaluate their own performance. Complete written evaluation for all EarlyLearn staff. Develop and present workshops to program participants, staff and parents on subjects related to education. Model appropriate child development practices for staff and parents. Attend staff meetings, professional development workshops and program events Communicate with all staff, parents, children and community members in a polite and respectful manner so as to represent the program in a professional way.
