We are looking for an experienced, self motivated Engineer III who can support Honeywell's Experion control system, Safety Manager systems, Fire & Gas systems as well as other Honeywell applications. The qualified engineer will be expected to work a two week on / two week off schedule working primarily on the North Slope of Alaska. Travel to other locations within the United States for training, factory acceptance and other tasks / assignments is required as necessary. Work may be necessary during the time period the employee is off the slope to perform these additional activities. Honeywell Site Support Specialist responsibilities shall include but not be limited to following activities: Provide technical support to customers and serve as customer Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for service related issues involving the configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting Honeywell hardware and software including: Experion PKS Systems BPCS (DCS) Systems Logic Manager Systems Fail Safe Controllers Safety Manager Systems Safety Fire & Gas Systems Configure, Implement and Maintain: EPKS Domains Controllers (C200/C300) Domain servers Communication switches, peripherals, etc. Support Honeywell FTE and Microsoft Technologies Troubleshoot and repair control system problems using standard test equipment and hand tools Support client/server architecture Perform upgrades of Honeywell system hardware and software when required Assist clients with third party vendor interfaces to the Honeywell systems Program code logic including system configuration / implementation and troubleshoot existing code and CL programming Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), installation and startup activities including equipment diagnostics Support and troubleshoot LAN / WAN communications Provide power-on support of new and existing Honeywell installations including grounding checks and proper application Document Honeywell electrical and process drawings (P&IDs, Interconnects, Panels) Perform audits and baselines of Honeywell installed systems as a deliverable as well as for migrations and trouble-shooting Be able to respond to emergency calls and resolve them within the guidelines that meet or exceed contract customer expectations and requirements Accurately document work performed Demonstrate effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of advanced applications such as PHD, Doc 4000 and/or others as applicable to the specific site Travel Required: 50% to 70% Basic Qualifications: High School degree or GED 5 years process control system experience 2 years experience with Honeywell Control Systems: TPS systems, Experion, C200/300 Process Controls, Honeywell HMI, Safety Manager and Safety Fire & Gas System and EBI interface 2 years PC/Networking experience Additional Qualifications: Field Experience in Honeywell systems installation preferred Strong electronics background, ability to work with electronic test equipment 3rd Party Controls Systems interface experience Detailed Process Control Associates or Bachelors degree strongly preferred As an Equal Opportunity Employer, Honeywell is committed to a diverse workforce.
