Details for Technical Leads Java : Position I



Position Title: Core Java Leads with Angular JS



Total years of Experience Required: 10-12 years+



Type of Employment: We are looking for Full Time employee with Genpact, Headstrong Capital markets



Location of this position: Downtown New York



Technical Required Skills and Role and Responsibilities:




Main requirements:

· Solid programming expertise in Java (7+ years);

· Strong grasp of distributed architecture including web services and messaging;

· Deep understanding of RDBMS databases, JDBC, and database access technologies (Sybase, DB2 preferred but not required);

· Strong problem solving and system design;

· Desire to learn both personally and professionally.



Good to have:

· JavaScript with use of in AngularJs/JQuery or similar;

· Networking protocols TCP, UDP, HTTP;

· Linux environment and scripting;

· Solid understanding of multi-tiered distributed application design;

· Practical knowledge of Spring, Hibernate, Jetty/Tomcat;

Position Title: Java Developers with Investment Banking and Managerial experience



Total years of Experience Required: 3-7+

Responsibilities include:


The UI Developer has to have basic UI design skills and need to know both the design sides as well as the technical sides of design. User Interface Design has elements of both graphical design, user experience design and application development.
Some experience working on Financial or investment banking client.
The User Interface developer must have the knowledge of front end software tools like HTML5, CSS3 and JS (Java Script). Also knowledge of photoshop, graphical design and the ability to write a code is essential in User Interface (UI) design.
The User interface designer needs to have the capability to use the UX designs and develop a user interface that is a balance between technical functionality and visual elements.
The key job here is to understand what the user wants and create a design that accommodates all the technical functions of the product along with making the product easy to use.
UI Design is a dynamic field of design. This field is seeing new innovations and techniques and new methods to create UI design every now and then. The UI designer must be able to adapt to change.
UI designers must be able to create clear and useful designs that can be implemented easily.
Familiarity with open source frameworks like Angular JS, BootStrap, LESS, SASS, etc is a plus
Good exposure with responsive design, semantic UI and CSS sprites and web typography.

Java Flex Developer

Position Description:


Our systems are distributed Java and Sybase architecture with multiple components processing multiple requests. The roles involve:

- Developing server side/UI (Flex/html5) components that meet the business requirements in an effective and efficient manner.

- Directly interfacing with business analysts in understanding the requirement and providing solutions.



An ideal candidate will demonstrate excitement for technology and business. He/she will also be able to handle competing demands on time and manage his/her work to deadlines. Flexibility in outlook is essential. A lot interaction with business users and global development teams is involved.

Primary Skills Required:

Software development skills >> Core Java and database (preferably Sybase) exposure. Novice level unix and scripting skills.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Strong computer science and data-structure fundamentals.

Appreciation for design patterns/anti-patterns.

Appreciation for team-work

Secondary Skills Desired:

Web development experience – preferably flex/html5 (angular.js)

Openness to learning new technologies.

Investment banking and finance domain understanding.

Has experience working in a global team.

Would prefer if the candidate has participated on a project that involved automating a business workflow process end-end on a software project.
