Senior Developer Consultant Summary The Senior Developer Consultant participates in a development team in all aspects of design architecture development and planning in a hightransaction ecommerce platform The Senior Developer Consultant provide technical knowledge and participates in counseling and mentoring as well as handson development throughout full development life cycle In this role the Senior Developer Consultant will particpate in the full project lifecycle Duties and responsibilities bull Particpate in technical architecture design and planning on various projects bull Partcipate in mentoring resources bull Partcipate in the design development and implementation of NET applications in a highvolume transactionoriented web production environment bull Participate in Discovery and Estimation bull Ensuring milestones and tasks are complete for the full project lifecycle on time and with quality bull Lead in the creation and review of the teams Technical Approach bull Lead in the Coordination with Project Managers to develop detailed timeline project plan for development and deployment tasks bull Ensure that code review is completed for the teams project deliverables bull Ensure the team keeps updated technical documentation (Environment diagram etc) bull Lead in the Identification Coordination and Creation required of requests for all Network and Operational tasks bull Lead in the Identification Coordination and Creation required of requests for all DBA bull Verify backward compatibility with all systems (ie DB Brand sites Mobile etc) bull Ensure that the team resources are allocated to projects and in alignment with budget Minimum Qualifications Education Degree combined with experience Bachelors Degree (Masters Degree prefered) combined with 5+ years of progressive experience Experience Education Area bull Bachelors or Masterrsquos Degree in Computer Science or related field andor demonstrated capability through previous experience and education to perform job responsibilities bull 5 to 7 years experience designingdeveloping sophisticated webbased applications (primarily in a Microsoft environment) bull 5 to 7 years of high volume webecommerce design development and implementation experience experience collaborating building and deploying missioncritical applications bull 3 to 5 years of NET designdevelopment experience (using C ASPNET and VBNET) ability to implement Web Services and SOAP strong relational database skills (SQL Server) bull 3 to 5 years of development experience using VBCOM C++ andor Java Technical Skills bullAdvanced architectural knowledge of at least two of NET PHP Python or Ruby on Rails bullAdvanced Knowledge objectoriented design and development concepts bull Experience working with complex data models and structures bull Advanced knowledge with database technologies including SQL Server DB2 SQL Transact SQL and Oracle bull Advanced knowledge of XML IIS XSLT and Web Services Soft skills bull Effective time management and prioritization skills bull Ability to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously bull Ability to work in a highpressure environment bull Ability to rapidly resolve issues and recognize when escalation is necessary bull Flexibility agility and change management skills bull Ability to tailor communication style to different audiences and to exercise good judgment in frequency and nature of communications to different parties (senior management stakeholders team members etc) bull Mentoring skills desired
