Perform skilled technical duties relating to the installation, maintenance and provisioning of telecommunications central office, network, and outside plant equipment and services.

• Install CO, OSP, and CPE facilities according to engineered work orders or service orders in compliance with RUS and NEC standards.
• Assist Service Center and Installation & Repair technicians as advanced support for trouble tickets and service orders.
• Perform turn-up and test provisioning of Central Office/CPE and LAN/WAN equipment.
• Install, test and troubleshoot data/Ethernet circuits from the COE to the NIU, ONT or CPE.
• Install, provision, and maintain services on the distribution network from the COE to the demarcation point.
• Perform advanced cable/fiber testing and splicing.
• Provide email and web hosting technical services.
• Perform applicable backups and data integrity checks of critical provisioning/operational data.
• Follow proper procedures for investigating DMCA customer violations or other legal inquiries.
• Respond to trouble tickets within company timeframe standards.
• Perform advanced testing on trouble tickets.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting on Customer Premise Equipment (CPE).
• Perform routine maintenance checks on OSP and CO facilities.
• Keep accurate documentation and complete necessary paperwork.
• Ability to perform the duties of the Installation & Repair Technician
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• An Associate degree in Information Technology or related certifications and equivalent years of experience is acceptable; or the combination of education and experience that enables performance of all aspects of the position. Four years-experience in telephony or networking installation and maintenance is required.
• A basic knowledge of the OSI model, basic TCP/IP and networking skill is required.
• A low voltage technician license is required.
• Ability to provide after hours support on a rotational on-call basis and to work off-hours as needed.
• Within the department, actively participate in the team environment that will foster forward thinking, innovation and creativity in order to meet the needs of the company now and in the future.
• Strong interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. The ideal person for this job would be a team player, personable, professional, upbeat, and energetic, takes initiative, uses tact and diplomacy.
• Proven analytical skills, work requires continual attention to detail. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
• Resourceful, Roll up the sleeves attitude. The successful candidate must have the initiative to resolve problems and seek answers independently and enthusiastically persist until goals are achieved.
• Ability to hold a valid Wyoming or Idaho Driver’s License.
