Position Summary:
HARMAN's diverse portfolio of businesses and customers offer interns a great opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of projects and practices. As a member of our team, your primary role will be to support the Company's financial planning processes and collaborate across the finance organization to provide analytical insights to the team and to senior management.
Job Responsibilities:
This role will provide an opportunity to "shadow" the EVP Operations, SVP Manufacturing and SVP Controllng:Operations. The Intern will attend various Operations Reviews gaining exposure to various operational cadences and KPI's being tracked by the organization to measure performance
:Assist with project to reconcile and standardize HARMAN's manufacturing sites standard costs reporting processes
:Assist with project to reconcile and standardize HARMAN's operations team fixed and variable overhead account assignment and reporting process
:Assist with project to create an on:line executive dashboard reporting tool for operational KPI's
:Perform ad:hoc financial analysis to support management requests as required
:Assist with other projects as requested which may include:
:Prepare weekly key financial data reporting
:Develop new program launch tracker
:Assist with developing Premium freight approval process
Basic Qualifications:
:Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelors Degree program in Sophmore year or later, or graduate/Ph.D program at an accredited institution taking at least one class in the semester prior to the internship program and returning to school for at least one semester upon completion of the internship program
:Degree must be in a related area of work with courses in Finance, Accounting or Economics
:Previous entry level work experience strongly preferred
:Must have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to confidently interact and present information to senior leaders
:Must work collaboratively with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
:Must provide work availability from May 31, 2017 : August 12, 2017 and be able to work 40 hours per week
:Strongly prefer candidates who live within a commutable distance
:Must provide own housing and transportation to/from work
:Must provide proper work authorization
