Registered NurseDepartment: BA-NRSG-NRSG STAFFSchedule: Per DiemShift: DayHours: 7am - 3pmJob Details: * 2 -4 years of experience* Registered NurseUses the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation) in the delivery of resident care.Upon admission, initials all appropriate interdisciplinary care plans.Receives keys and counts controlled medications and syringes from out-going shift as per policy.Makes rounds, receives and reviews report form prior shift and follows up on nursing care action as needed.Provides nursing and nursing ancillary personnel with information on change of resident condition.Makes out assignments and revision of assignments for nursing personnel.Checks emergency equipment and supplies.Creates and maintains an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis as well as a calm environment throughout the unit.Effectively communicates with residents, families and all members of staff.Ensures that resident rights to fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, individuality, privacy, property and civil rights including the right to wage a complain is followed.Maintains confidentiality of all pertinent resident care information. Maintains safety and infection control standards for all staff and residents on assigned unit.Contributes to information on monthly I.C reports. Maintains professional competence through participation in continuing education.Keeps abreast of new policies and procedures. Maintains a professional image.Assess each resident on assigned unit to ensure plan of care is being followed and updates as necessary.Demonstrates a team approach in working with physicians/PA's/nursing staff and other disciplines in order to plan resident plan of care.Ensures that physicians orders are correctly transcribed to care plans, medication administration record treatment plan, resident accountability record in a timely manner.All orders are faxed in a timely manner.
