Senior Analyst Programmer – Visionplus - HR Gulf (New York, NY)

Positions available in Toronto, Canada; London, England; Hong Kong; Singapore & USA This position requires a wide range of management, technical and analytical skills to manage critical situations and resolve and identify root cause of processing failures. 1 Year Contract - $45 -$70 per hour Description • Convey strong client facing skills, and an acute understanding of consulting • Manage the analysis, technical design, development and architecture of small to medium scale projects • Lead a technical team to deliver VisionPLUS applications to defined client requirements • Liaise with client and other software vendors to resolve production issues in a timely manner • Contribute to the guidance, support and motivation within the assigned team • Provide training, as required, to develop junior team members and transfer skills • Ensure compliance with First Data development methodologies and standards • Adhere to process compliance methodologies, such as, SOX, CMMI, ITIL • Ensure all developments are documented and solutions meet client requirements Requirements • 8+ years Mainframe experience, with 5+ years current experience working on VisionPLUS application • 5+ years experience using VisionPLUS in the credit card market, including conversions to new processing platforms • Understanding of client business and the customization level of VisionPLUS • Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) • Highly developed organizational, analytical and problem solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail, including the ability to analyse data from different platforms in order to integrate the data into the VisionPLUS platform • Proven experience in leading, staffing and motivating an IT team • Solid written and oral communication skills • Must possess strong interpersonal skills • Must be a team player, with the ability to work independently • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science • Must be legally eligible to work in the US (or applicable client location) Technical Requirements • In depth knowledge of VisionPLUS • Expertise in customization of VisionPLUS – CMS / FMS / FAS / TRAMS modules • Proficiency with IBM mainframe platform • Strong programming skills required using COBOL, CICS, DB2, SQL, JCL, IDCAMS, BMS, MVS, VSAM file structures • Proficient with file transmission tools FTP, Connect Direct, and Cyber Fusion Design and Analysis • Resolve and identify root cause of application process failures • Extraction of business functionality of the application Assets • Familiarity with Endevor and Infoman an asset • Familiarity with SNA, Frame relay and TCP/IP an asset
