Sr. Oracle Apps DBA - Svam International Inc (Long Island City, NY)

Sr. Level Oracle Apps DBA for support of enhancements and consolidation project. Ideal candidate will possess the following: Proven experience with administering database and application services for Oracle eBusiness Suite (11i.9 - R12) including installation, upgrade and patching. Experience with platform migration and/or data conversion a plus. Proven experience with managing high-performance, high-capacity databases in a critical production environment. Solid Oracle 10g/11g RAC experience on Linux and/or Client-UX including installation, administration, troubleshooting and performance tuning. Experienced in Oracle Clusterware (GRID Infrastructure) - CRS management and configuration Skilled in Oracle ASM administration Solid infrastructure knowledge including high-availability solutions such as Oracle DataGuard, Goldengate, SAN-based replication technologies (SRDF), etc. Excellent SQL & database-level performance tuning skills. Thorough understanding of backup, recovery and cloning using RMAN, datapump and export/import. Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control a plus. Experience with Oracle Exadata a plus. Ability to write and maintain SQL and shell scripts as necessary to support database operations Able to work co-operatively with fellow team-members and functional/development teams. Willingness to work a late shift or split week including on-call rotation. Looking for a team player with excellent communication skills.
