The storage software portfolio includes products such as SVC, TPC, TSM, Fastback, and Virtual Storage Center. * Enable and motivate the wider SWG coverage team to perform against brand specific targets * Establish and maintain customer relationships at an executive level within the IMT; make frequent customer calls within the IMT to help reps prospect for and develop sales opportunities * Execute key sales plays for the Tivoli RTMs * Help close the deal - Assist sales people in advancing the opportunity, negotiating details, and closing the deal that includes the specific brand * Pipeline and Opportunity analysis - The Storage Software Sales Leader will analyze the Tivoli storage opportunity pipeline to identify problem areas which require immediate or long-term focus. He/she should then take action to address any potential problem. * Removing Roadblocks - The Storage Software Sales Leader will be personally involved as needed to address any roadblocks or issues which impact customer satisfaction or closing/advancing new opportunities for the brand. * Find ways to cross-team to promote the storage software portfolio - encourage cross-platform, cross-functional opportunity development to ensure inclusion of this brand in the maximum number of opportunities. * Balanced focus (Grow White Space and GB) - Ensure brand focus on all accounts including legacy, white space, and GB. * Interface to Brand Channels - Work with the channels team to ensure brand-related business partner solutions are promoted within the IMT. Additionally, work with the IMT and brand channels to encourage greater teaming with business partners on opportunities. * Technical resource prioritization - The Storage Software Sales Leader will work closely with all IMT Business Units and Technical Leaders to help identify and prioritize technical resources as needed for pre-sales opportunities and post-sales issues. * Represent the Brand - Represent brand value, brand products, and the aligned solutions to the market place, IBM sectors, channels, client teams, IGS, SWG Services, and to SWG professionals and leaders. Ensure these groups are aware of the brand/specialty solutions and the applicability of the solutions to their customer sets.
