Title VII of the Dodd Frank act has imposed new regulatory reporting requirements on the firm s derivatives trading activity. Reform IT has partnered with other derivatives trading groups within the firm to implement a centralized reporting platform to meet the new regulatory obligations. This position is for a Tibco/Java developer to analyze, design, build and test the new platform during all phases of the software development lifecycle. The group has development teams based in London, New York and India and works closely with all asset classes across the firm to deliver reporting solutions that satisfy the firm s regulatory requirements. Main Function Work closely with technical leads and developers to design and implement Java and Tibco Business Works/Business Events solutions. Implement Tibco Business Works processes. Implement Tibco Business Events concepts, functions, rules, transformations and database persistence using Tibco BE Studio. Troubleshoot performance and functional problems on development, testing and production environments. Main Duties: Expert Tibco Business Works/Business Events developer with 5+ years experience on either platform in a financial environment. Strong knowledge of XML schemas, documents and XML processing required. Expert Java developer with 7+ years experience including multi-threading; Unix/Linux scripting. Good knowledge of one relational database server, preferably SQL Server. Able to implement tables, views, stored procedures and write SQL statements. Excellent understanding of the full SDLC lifecycle including both waterfall and iterative methodologies. General understanding of the finance markets and financial products.
