Security Officer Role:

As a current guard or new guard, or considering becoming a guard, the Security Officer will be responsible for building, infrastructure, and perimeter security in 24/7 environments.


• Requirements to be a Security Guard
• Must be over the age of 18
• Must have GED or High School Diploma
• Must be a Green Card Holder or U.S. Citizen
• Must have no criminal background issues


• Provide physical security within the premises.
• Provide day-to-day exceptional customer service and support.
• Compose detailed reports and daily activity logs.
• Monitor cameras, alarm and access/control systems.
• Monitor the building fire alarm system.
• Perform other duties as specified in the security procedures manual and/or as directed by Management
• Responsible for notifying customers, management and facility teams of security system alarms and security breaches.
• Responsible for managing the loading dock shipping and receiving.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Familiar with CCTV and access and control security systems.
• If not familiar with certain security procedures or operations of certain security equipment training will be provided.
• Excellent customer interaction skills.
• Good troubleshooting skills.
• Willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Schedule flexibility with ability to work non-standard business hours.
• Exhibits a strong work ethic and accountability.
• Successfully meet professional standards.
• Candidate must have ability to work independently and be able to follow all escalation procedures in regard to critical or emergency situations.

Education/Experience/Special Licensing:

• Have access to reliable transportation if possible
• Bi-lingual a plus
• Any Enhanced Training or Certification or Licenses that applies strictly to the security guard industry such as TWIC, Waterfront Commission, CPR/AED, Active Shooter, Loss Prevention/Metal Detection, Fire Safety, NYS Fire Guard, OSHA.
• If you have any these please bring to interview, so that you are better marketable.
• If you do not have any of the above referenced Certifications or License, If you have a strong desire to learn. We will direct you in the right direction to obtain.
