Assistant/Associate Professor REF#:F-7631-12-12 Budget Title:same as above Faculty Position Department:Theatre Arts Campus:Stony Brook West Campus/HSC Salary:Commensurate with experienceRequired Qualifications:PhD in Theatre Arts or Performance Studies. Established research agenda in the area of Cognitive Science and Performance. Minimum5years of successful college teaching. Preferred Qualifications:Teach courses in Dramatic Literature and/or Theatre History as well as areas of specialization. Experience teaching on the graduate and undergraduate level. Responsibilities & Requirements:The selected candidate will be responsible for the following: * Teach a 2-2 course load, 25% in English. * Serve as Director of Graduate Studies, once PhD is approved. * Advise and serve as reader on Dissertations and Theses. * Advise students and participate in governance of department. * Develop national and international profile for research. Special Notes:This is a tenure track position.FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously.Anticipated Start Date:Fall 2013. The selected candidate must successfully clear a background investigation.
