Job Summary:

TheHead StartDeputyDirector has variety ofresponsibilitieswhich include:managing human resources,coordination oflicensingrequirements, theChild and AdultCare Food Program as wellas ensuringfacilityrelatedrequirements aremetandadheredto. TheDeputyDirectorwillworkclosely withtheExecutiveDirector and other staff, toensure Administrative requirements aremetincluding some aspectsofprogramdevelopment.TheDeputyDirectorwill act as astrategic partner tothe Executive Directoronrunning theprogramwithaheavy focus on managingtheday to day operations. Theposition will report directly to theExecutiveDirector,provideweekly updates, and participate in ongoing program planning.

Job Responsibilities:

HumanResources:

Research, develop,present,and coordinate staffing-servicetrainingrelatedtospecific component area job requirements.

•Research,developprocess,and maintain Federal, StateandCityregulations related to human resources.

•Complete annual employee evaluation for specific staff.

Governing Board meetings:

•Organizematerialsneeded for meeting.

•Maintainall official meetings agendas and minutes.

•Attend meetings as needed.

•Ensureboardrequirements are inplace(i.e.–conflictofinterestpolicy, contact forms, etc.)

Development/Fundraising:

•FacilitateAnnualGiving Campaign and fundraising events.

•OrganizeOpenHouses for donors and recruitment.

•Maintain donordatabase.

•MaintainConstantContact mailing lists.

•Productionand distribution ofmonthly e-letters.

Additional Duties:

•Maintaincontracts/addendums and related correspondence.

•Presentand train staff on policies,procedures andHead StartStandards.

•ParticipateinannualprogramSelf-Assessment.

Specifications:

•B.SorM.Sin Supervisionand Administration

•Minimumof5years’experiencepreferred.

•Musthavegood communication skills inbothwrittenand oral form.

•Mustbe comfortableusingtechnologyandbefamiliarwithprograms suchasWord,Adobe, Excel,PowerPoint, WordPress, FundE-Z,etc.

•Musthavegoodsocialmedia experience and knowledge

Bilingual (Spanish/English)preferredbutnotrequired

•Goodatdevelopingand maintaining relationships inside and outsideof the organization
