Position Responsibilities: Coordinates and implement day-to-day professional development activities for early childhood providers (e.g. workshops, publications, grants).

Primary responsibilities include the following.

Deliver professional development programs primarily to childcare providers (e.g. workshops, credentialing classes). Support activities including but not limited to grants, Health and Safety Training, Resource Library, and accreditation activities, to Medical Advisory Committee activities, Family Development & Training Credentials, quality improvement grants

Responds to calls on early childhood development issues.
Assist in creating and disseminating professional development opportunities brochures/publications.
Assist in the reporting of information on department grants.
Represent the department or Council on internal and/or external committees /task forces that pertain to departmental activities.
Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Early Childhood or related field preferred. Two years of early childhood classroom experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Some supervisory experience preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must. Strong computer, organizational skills and ability to multi-task required. Bilingual in English/Spanish. Access to car and valid drivers lic. May include some evenings/Sat.

Attend appropriate in-service and professional development activities.
