Insight is seeking a senior writer to be a part of the Business Development team of a rapidly growing education-focused company, committed to improving the quality of K-12 education.
Since 2000, Insight has partnered with states, public school districts, charter management organizations and schools across the country to develop and implement instructional initiatives to help improve student academic achievement through developing cutting-edge teacher and leader evaluation systems, large-scale meaningful professional development programs, instructional coaching and innovative technology tools to support teaching and learning.

Department and Position Summary
The Business Development team leads all marketing, sales, press and communication initiatives for Insight. This individual will report to the VP of Business Development (based in Washington, DC). The corporate offices are based in Los Angeles. This person can work remotely anywhere within the continental United States, although preference is in DC or LA areas.

Position responsibilities include:
• Create and lead content marketing calendar
• Research, write, edit and post to Insight's website the following: blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, articles, press releases, and marketing copy
• Research, write, and edit responses to RFPs, RFIs, grants, etc. as a part of the sales process. In addition:
o Effectively manage and coordinate time and responsibilities related to RFP preparation and distribution
o Responsible for peer reviewing and quality control of all RFPs and other deliverables
• Coordinate production of final proposals (formatting, technical editing and reproduction)
• Conduct updates to website and social media
• Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously to meet strict deadlines

Key qualifications and requirements:
• Bachelor's degree
• Superior skills in writing, interpersonal and communications
• 3+ years experience in writing about K-12 education
• Well-versed in K-12 education policy
• Experience in marketing and/or sales is a plus
• Strong project management skills
• Strong attention to detail and design
• Ability to juggle multiple projects while producing high-quality work
• Ability to work well in a small team environment (head office) as well as work remotely with various business heads
• Ability to travel (4-5 trips per year)
• Solid work ethic

Technical Qualifications:
• Microsoft Office, including Outlook and PowerPoint, Excel
• A plus: Qvidian, SalesForce, HubSpot, HTML/CSS, basic proficiency in graphic design
