We are looking for a results-driven, highly organized professional to join our growing Learning team as a Teacher Development Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a highly motivated team committed to education reform, educational choice, and the building of exemplary schools.As part of the Learning Team, the Teacher Development Coordinator will design and implement professional development to improve the quality of instruction and drive student achievement. The Coordinator will have direct contact with teachers, leaders, consultants, network team members and scholars. Responsibilities: Our Teacher Development Coordinator will.Planning year-round teacher development: Support the Teacher Development Manager in designing high quality, relevant professional development sessions for our Leaders and Teachers that translate into immediate, measurable improvements to instruction and student outcomes.Professional development management: Embrace and support our rigorous teacher improvement cycle. Support our year-long professional development track for both new and returning teachers; starting with a 4-week intensive training program in the summer and continuing at least one day a week throughout the school year. Operations & logistics: Work with our teachers and school operations staff to provide consistent, full-fledged professional development support. Planning and supporting several small and large-scale professional development events. Assisting with the administration and execution of all teacher training for over 500 teachers. Qualifications: The ideal candidate for this position must have a Bachelor's Degree and a high level of professionalism and enthusiasm. The ideal candidate will have training and teaching experience.The candidate must demonstrate competency in the following areas: Organization. Highly organized and able to manage sophisticated events, able to independently manage projects and deadlines.Problem-solving. Approaches challenges in creative ways and finds thoughtful solutions.Oral and written communication. Strong communication skills that can be utilized in planning, organizing and communicating with internal and external audiences.Passion for adult learning. A desire to create excellent teacher training programs by implementing best practice professional development formats and strategies.
