Ballet des Amériques Summer Intensive 2 - 2013

Ballet des Amériques is pleased to announce its 2013 Summer Intensive program. Summer intensives have a long tradition in the world of dance - bridging the gap between the spring and fall semesters - but also fulfilling a complementary role with respect to the regular school curriculum: Largely free from academic obligations, students are able to concentrate on dance and make leaps of progress in training, iron out weaknesses, and consolidate what was achieved during the academic year. Quite importantly, the warmth of the summer months makes for greatly increased flexibility, which, when intensely exercised, can propel students to a higher level. Please consult the schedule below.

Summer Intensive 1 (3-week program; July 8 - July 26)
Summer Registration Fee $30
Arts & Crafts Materials $50

Elementary - Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM:
$375 per week or $950 for 3 weeks

Intermediate - Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM:
$475 per week or $1,250 for 3 weeks

Summer Intensive 2 (3-week program; August 5 - August 23)
Summer Registration Fee $30
Arts & Crafts Materials $50

Elementary - Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM:
$375 per week or $950 for 3 weeks

Intermediate - Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM:
$475 per week or $1,250 for 3 weeks

Summer Intensives 1 and 2 (combined 6-week program)
Summer Registration Fee $30
Arts & Crafts Materials $50

Elementary - Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM:
$1,600 for 6 weeks

Intermediate - Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM:
$2,200 for 6 weeks

Classes and workshops in: ballet, pre-pointe, pointe, répertoire, barre au sol, modern, modern jazz, music and voice, ballet terminology (French), dance history, acting, arts and crafts, folkloric dance, stage makeup.
